Feeling inspired...

I recently finished an amazing book. I love to read and would say there are several books that are favorites of mine because of how hard it was to put them down while reading. This latest book was different. It was emotional, uncomfortable at times, and most of all transforming. It is rare in my experience as an avid reader to come across a book that truly brings with it an emotional transformation. I mean change deep inside of yourself that you realize is there forever. An awareness that will never go away.
Kisses from Katie is a wonderfully honest book about the true life story of a young girl who follows God's calling in her life across the world to a place where life is nothing like anything she has ever experienced. It is hard, dirty, scary, lonely, and at times overwhelming...and yet she finds herself happier than she has ever been!
Face to face with thousands of starving and dying Uganda people she begins a journey of  one day.
Leaning on her Lord and Savior, God shows her how to take one day at a time and one hungry or hurting child at time as He places them in her path. The level of her strength and faith is inspiring as she takes on the hurts of the many. What she is accomplishing and the love of Christ she is sharing is life changing.
It has touched my life in a way that will forever change me. I will share her story and her work with all I can and encourage people to get involved in her ministry. You will be blessed and so will thousands of people in need of a Savior!!
Check out her blog to get a feel of what she is doing in her missions and then RUN don't walk to get her book Kisses from Katie!

About Me

My photo
Newton, Alabama, United States
I am a stay at home mom to three great kids that keep me parenting outside the box. I take one day at time, lean on my Lord, and relish any and all advice that helps me or my kids, or me, or my family, did I say me? Seven years ago I lost my wonderful mother unexpectedly. There have been so many times I have wanted to pick up the phone to call and tell her something funny about the kids or ask her advice. So,this blog is dedicated to her, the dearest mommy in the world! I love you, mom!
