I had a wonderful Mothers Day!! I actually had a really great weekend! The kids and I left on Thursday and headed to the farm. I love visiting with my grandmother on her farm. It is a place that holds some of the most wonderful childhood memories for me. I also love that my children are able to create some of those same memories for themselves.
I got to spend several days with my dad and sister at the farm which made it even sweeter. Dad introduced me to dominoes which I am now addicted to playing. My brother-in-law Jack and I played on a team against Liz and Sue and Dad was a team of his own. Because of our skills, Jack and I were forced to change our team name to "the Dominators"!! LOL! It was a lot of fun.
Liz and I managed to make it one whole day before breaking out in war. We have to have at least one really good fight! It was a doozy, too! lol!! We got over it within minutes though and all was well the rest of our time together. I really miss those little things, now that I live so far away. It actually felt good to have a little spat. Funny how being apart makes even the unsavory aspects of family seem good.
Robert had a sweet card and my favorite perfume awaiting my return. He's such a thoughtful gift giver. I would say that is one of his strongest traits. Every gift he gives shows that he pays attention to my likes and preferences. He is much better in this area than I am.
The best part of Mothers Day is the small sweet sentiments that come from the kids. The way they say Happy Mothers Day in their sweet little voices, or the flower that Nathan picked for me as we walked the paths around the farm that day. The way Zach spent a few more minutes with me before escaping to his teen cave, or the sweet smile Emily gave me as she clipped coupons with me. Each little thing said "I love you!" louder than any card or mere spoken word.
I love being a mom to my three angels. It has been a joy from the beginning and continues to give unconditional love to me each and every day! So thankful God gave me such blessings!
Welcome to Mommy dearest! As a mom of three amazing kids, I started this blog so that I could share a peek at what motherhood really looks like. It can be beautiful, but be warned, it can also be quite ugly!! It can make you laugh or make you scream, but no matter what, it will always give you unconditional love!

- I am a stay at home mom to three great kids that keep me parenting outside the box. I take one day at time, lean on my Lord, and relish any and all advice that helps me or my kids, or me, or my family, did I say me? Seven years ago I lost my wonderful mother unexpectedly. There have been so many times I have wanted to pick up the phone to call and tell her something funny about the kids or ask her advice. So,this blog is dedicated to her, the dearest mommy in the world! I love you, mom!
